The smallish 2 to 3 ounce, oblong, red fruits can be processed into a rich, thick paste or sauce with unforgettable flavor. San Marzano is also an excellent tomato for sun drying. Holds well on vine or in storage. Approx. 10,500 seeds/oz.

I have grown many Roma types that are very good. These have an old world flavor like the pasta sauces you get in N.Y. Italian restaurant.
What I really like is they slightly smaller, so when I process them thru my Italian
Sauce maker I dont have to cut them up, they go straight thru. I can process a five gallon bucket of these, have them in the jars and proccesing in under an hour. With three pressure cookers going I have 21 quarts finished fast.

I have been growing these for years here in St.George and have always had good results. This isa a great paste tomato. Is there more than one? Mine is a indeterminate. It is my standard paste tomato.

This one had good flavor and puts on tons of 4-5 inch tomatoes. a good paste tomato. be sure to add some acidic to this one.
this last year i grew 100 plants and I got maybe 20 5 gal buckets.
not bad for a poor tomato year.
